HAMZADERE REGION WORKFORCE STRATEGIES WORKSHOPS HAVE BEEN COMPLETED SUCCESSFULLY
The 1st Working Board Meeting held at Ağadayı Sapçı Facilities on January 25, 2024 was completed with 76 people. First of all, general information about the NEETPRO-232 project was given to the participating public institutions, private sector, non-governmental organizations and trainees. The project's operational beneficiary and contracting authority were explained to the participants. A detailed presentation was made about the activities of the project, which started on August 1, 2023, until January 25, 2024. After detailed explanations, Multi-Stakeholder Collaboration: Hamzadere Region Workforce Strategies Workshop, where the institutions took part, employee and employer perspectives, social security and welfare, labor market dynamics and education and talent development issues were discussed. The shared problems and solution suggestions were noted by the project team. The 2nd Working Board Meeting held at Gölet Restaurant on July 11, 2024 was held with the participation of 80 people. Detailed information was provided about the trainings completed within the scope of the project, technical visits and the Germany Study Visit. Talks were made about the employment of 46 trainees and the future of vocational high schools.
In-depth discussions were held at the workshop on the difficulties faced by NEET youth and how these difficulties could be overcome. Representatives of public institutions and the private sector offered various solution suggestions for the employment of young people. Students had the opportunity to express the problems they encountered and their expectations during this process.
Keşan Chamber of Commerce and Industry Assembly President Ahmet KORU; In his opening speech, he emphasized the importance of the participation of young people in the workforce and said, "The ideas and suggestions that emerged during the workshop will greatly contribute to the economic and social development of the region. The steps taken here today will increase the welfare of not only our young people but also the entire regional population and enable us to look to the future with more hope." As a result of the workshop, it was decided to take concrete steps to integrate NEET youth into the workforce. Issues such as implementing various education and employment projects with public and private sector cooperation, increasing the competencies of young people and expanding employment opportunities were emphasized. It was shared that various inter-institutional studies should be carried out in order to increase the awareness of both parents and young people about vocational high schools in the Keşan, Enez and İpsala regions.
