Project Closing Meeting

“WALKING TOGETHER WITH YOUNG PEOPLE TO A SECURE FUTURE” PROJECT CLOSING EVENT WAS HELD.

The “We’re Walking Together With Young People to Safe” project, which was carried out within the scope of the “Labor Market Support Program for Young People Who Are Neither in Education Nor Employment (NEET PRO) Grant Program” developed within the scope of financial cooperation between the Republic of Turkey and the European Union, started with the opening meeting held on November 28, 2023.
As a result of the announcements made to the relevant institutions and organizations including the muhtars in Keşan, İpsala and Enez regions, entrepreneurship, social skills and productivity training courses were started with the trainees reached; courses continued in three different professional fields, namely CNC Machines and Programming, web design and pre-accounting. The project was successfully concluded with a total of 46 trainees within 12 months. Within the scope of the project; CNC Machines and Programming, Web Design and Preliminary Accounting trainees visited businesses in Ankara, Çanakkale, Çorlu and Keşan. Information and experience transfer was provided especially from the senior managers of Ankara TUBİTAK and TOBB Technology Center. In addition, after the technical visits to Çanakkale Organized Industrial Zone, trainees were informed about the professions sought in OIZs.

In addition; a working committee consisting of 75 people in total, including the district governorships and mayors in Keşan, İpsala and Enez, was formed, the working committee convened twice in January and July. In the content of the meeting, opinions were exchanged regarding both vocational training and the participation of young people in employment, and a roadmap was created by the committee for directly training qualified personnel for İpsala and Keşan OIZs.
A technical study visit was carried out to Munich, Germany as a Keşan TSO delegation. Within the scope of the visit, the Bavarian Chamber of Commerce, Chamber of Professions and Crafts, İşkur, Munich Consulate General and various other businesses were visited. During the visit, important information was received about education policy in Germany, the functioning of vocational education, activities carried out by ISKUR, the importance of incubation centers and their strategies.

Throughout the project; a total of 1,390 people were reached, including middle school, high school and university students and academicians, through seminars and information events held in the Keşan, Enez and Ipsala regions. The Career Planning Seminar provided guidance to students on determining their career goals, understanding the expectations of the business world and creating an effective career plan. The entrepreneurship training provided at the event emphasized how innovative ideas can be successfully implemented and how entrepreneurs can overcome the difficulties they may encounter. In addition; the ISKUR introductory presentation conveyed the various services and activities offered by the institution to the participants in detail.
In order to ensure the sustainability of the project, which ended with a wide participation on Thursday, July 25, 2024, the Business Consultancy and Career Center (IDAK) was established within the Keşan TSO. The aim of IDAK is to plan the careers of young people (career selection, job supply-demand ratio in the region, etc.) and to operate in the field of business consultancy.
