“We’re Walking Together With Young People to a Safe Future” Project
The “Labor Market Support Program for Young People Not in Employment, Education or Vocational Training (NEETs)/We’re Walking Together with Young People to a Safe Future” project is being implemented under the “Employment, Education, Social Policies” component of the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) developed within the scope of financial cooperation between Turkey and the European Union. The said grant program, financed by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey, is implemented and monitored by the Ministry of Labor and Social Security, the European Union and Financial Assistance Department, which is the Contracting Authority. The Operation Beneficiary of the program is İŞKUR.
The “We Are Walking Towards a Safe Future Together with Youth” project is carried out by the Keşan Chamber of Commerce and Industry within the scope of the program. The total budget of the project is 285,990.09 Euros, of which 36,006.16 Euros is the co-financing contribution of the Keşan Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Today, employment and education opportunities for young people are considered the key to strengthening societies and sustainable development. However; the existence of young people who are not in employment, education or vocational training (NEETs) can make it difficult to achieve these goals. For this reason, we are implementing a project called “We Are Walking Towards a Safe Future Together with Youth” in Keşan in order to bring young people into the labor market and provide them with a safer future.
The General Objective of this Comprehensive Project;
To increase the employability and labor force participation of young people who are not in employment, education or training (NEET) in Edirne through the implementation of inclusive and integrated active labor market measures.
Specific Objectives of the Project;
To prepare NEETs for employment in a multifaceted way and increase their employability through vocational training, entrepreneurship training, productivity and social skills training,
To contribute to young people determining their professions and making conscious career plans,
To support the solution of the youth unemployment problem in the province, region and country with a sustainable cooperation model between the relevant parties,
To shed light on future plans by revealing the current situation with field research for relevant groups and to raise awareness about youth unemployment through information activities that will cover these groups (employers, educators, students, youth, family, etc.).
Main Activities Provided Within the Scope of the Project;
Vocational Training Programs for 45 NEETs (Preliminary Accounting, Web Design and CNC Machines and Programming),
Entrepreneurship and Productivity for 45 NEETs, Social Skills Training,
Visits, Awareness Meetings, Consultancy Support,
Expert Meetings,
Field Research,
Establishment of Business Consultancy and Career Center (IDAK),
Germany Study Visit,
Information Activities and Working Meetings on Vocational Trainings
Expected Results of the Project;
NEETs who are provided with professional knowledge and skills in the short term, whose social and productivity skills are developed, whose entrepreneurial potential is revealed and who are supported through job search consultancy and business environment, fairs and conferences will be employed in the medium and long term.
Non-NEET formal and non-formal education youth; The danger of becoming NEET will be prevented by informing them about career choice and career planning and benefiting from IDAK.
Business Consultancy and Career Center (IDAK) will be established in a structure that is maintained with a protocol within the scope of the cooperation model and open to remote access. The Center will act as a bridge between young job seekers and employers looking for workers. A Job Club supported by social media and the internet will be established within the Center, and the target audience who will become members of this club will be able to improve their communication, understand each other, be informed about innovations and evaluate potential opportunities. It is expected that this Center and Club will make a significant contribution to the employment and education of the region in the medium and long term.
The field research is a source document in the future plans of employers and young people.
In the medium and long term, the capacities of stakeholders will increase with Keşan TSO in employment, vocational training, project management, institutionalization and youth unemployment, and new projects will be produced to be presented to different financing sources. In addition, awareness on the subject will be raised throughout the region with information activities.
CNC Machines and Programming training started on Monday, December 11, 2023.
Preliminary Accounting training started on Saturday, December 23, 2023.
Web Design training started on Friday, January 19, 2024.
CNC Machines and Programming training will last 600 hours, Preliminary Accounting training will last 357 hours and Web Design training will last 452 hours. The courses will continue on different days at the same time on January 15, 2024. Thus, all
