HAMZADERE REGION FIELD ANALYSIS REPORT FOR EMPLOYMENT-FOCUSED VOCATIONAL TRAINING HAS BEEN COMPLETED.
The comprehensive field research report conducted with 450 participants has been completed. This study includes the survey study and analysis conducted within the scope of the “We Are Walking Towards a Safe Future Together with Youth” project carried out by Keşan Chamber of Commerce and Industry within the scope of “Labor Market Support Program for Youth Not in Employment, Education or Vocational Training (NEETs)” financed by the European Union and the Republic of Turkey. This analysis attempts to reveal the current situation of young unemployed people between the ages of 15-29 living in the Hamzadere region. This survey and analysis study was conducted to examine the NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training) rate among young people aged 15-29 living in Turkey and the Hamzadere (Keşan, İpsala, Enez) region of Edirne province, which is the scope of the research, and to address vocational training practices and employment policies. This study also includes the results of the analysis of qualitative and quantitative interviews conducted for employers, employees and unemployed young people, as well as recommendations appropriate for the region, along with reducing the NEET rate in the Hamzadere region. Within this scope, interviews were conducted with 450 people within the borders of the Hamzadere Region using various methods. Among the interviewees, there are 100 NEET, 100 working young people, 100 employers, 50 trainers, 50 representatives from relevant organizations and 50 representatives from NGOs. Most of the interviewees were interviewed through surveys, and some were interviewed face-to-face; the problems and benefits identified through literature review, field visits and survey studies are included in the analysis and evaluation section. The results of the research will be shared with relevant stakeholders and will guide the determination of actions to be taken.
